I created a photo blog where I share the pictures I've taken for classes in the full-time program (General Studies) at the ICP. Your comments are always welcome! ;)

Like tears in rain

So, we're having the final critiques for classes this week and the next, and everyone is getting exhausted. This program is much more intense than I thought but I'm learning A LOT every day. I truly appreciate this experience here with a lot of highly-motivated classmates and truly excellent teachers. If any of you guys is considering to apply, I absolutely recommend this program!

nyc marathon 2010

below you'll find my latest blog update.  it was shot last sunday during a brief moment i had during the morning, luckily i saw the pro men's leader pack as they passed through mile 9. 
this is my second time shooting the race at this location.  last year i shot this (photo below). some of you might remember it, who took the photo 1 session with me.  this year i tried the same technique, i think these turned out good....

Get Together

Hi,

I hope everyone is doing well. I saw the Friedlander exhibit at the Whitney on Fri and it made me think of our class and our last get together at Moma. I thought it would be nice to if we all tried to arrange another outing. Let me know who is interested and if weeknight or weekend is better.

Since I did the portrait project in Photography II: Digital class with you guys, I'm more and more interested in portraiture. This time I used a couple of techniques for retouching that I'd learned at "Photoshop for Lightroom Users" last month.

first of all im sorry i didnt reply to the meeting last week. i just learned about it.  please let me know if you'll plan to do it again.  hope everyone;'s had a good summer so far. 
here's another show I did, this time in PR.  i went back home for a couple of days in august and had the chance to shoot this band, called lade vé. this is the second of two shows i did for them. (at the bottom of the blog post you'll find the link to the whole set on flickr)

Hi Everyone - I love all these summer vacation/service trip images! I just got back from Spain and France and took 1500 pictures while i was there - so i am whittling the selection down and editing, once I have some top pics I will post them here. Are any of you taking Photo III this fall? I'm thinking of taking the tuesday night class, maybe I'll see some of you there.

Also, does anyone have a good recommendation for a photo book printing lab? I've heard mpix.com is pretty good - have any of you tried them? Seems the iphoto books aren't the best quality. I'd like to make one this fall.

An evening walk on the High Line

Hi everyone, how have you been?

I've taken 2 summer courses at the ICP this summer - Studio Lighting for Digital SLRs & Photoshop for Lightroom Users - and both of them were just so amazing!!! I would recommend especially the latter one if you want to learn how to make your images stronger by using layers and masks.

And I visited the High Line 2 days ago and uploaded some pictures on my Flickr. I would greatly appreciate your comments. Thank you!

Honduras

I recently returned from a Habitat for Humanity build in a small town in Honduras. It was an amazing trip that inspired me in so many ways. The people were awesome and I had so much fun taking pictures there. I'm attaching some portraits that I took while walking around. There are hundreds more, but I'm sure you all can remember how terrible I am at editing....

Summer is half way over, not sure if all of you are diligently taking photos, printing photos, selling photos, dreaming photos... I have done none of that, so I am feeling guilty and want to share this guilt with whomever care to listen. Anybody want to go to see a photo show, share some recent photos, or just chat?
