Hey, so tomorrow I plan on taking some more photos of my sister for the portrait assignment, but would love to get some of your feedback on what I did last week. I'm not feeling super confident that I know how to properly light her, and I was wondering if the approach I took last week is distracting? When I print do you think all of the intentional highlights I put on her face will look too stark?
Hey Daniela- really nice- I think I like the one in the sunlight the best - her skin looks incandescent. the ones in the shadows are interesting- but I find myself looking at the highlights and wanting to see more light on her face- but it's a completely different feeling- which is maybe what you are going for - she seems more scared in the shadow pictures- it feels like the series could be some sort of fairy tale.
ReplyDeleteDaniela, they are all beautiful! I like this one with a leaf on her chin the best. You told us in class that you were not sure about the leaf, but it looks completely natural and it also gives me some feeling like we're sneaking a peek at her through woods...
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. Tomorrow I will try a different style and see about just getting her whole face lit. Then I can compare the two. Hopefully it doesn't rain, bc I didn't get a chance to buy the lights from Home Depot yet.
